At Central Exhibitions, we’re proud to host some of the largest and best-attended wedding shows in the region, bringing couples and suppliers together in a vibrant, face-to-face setting.

We’re passionate about shows still being the best way to generate leads and make valuable connections with couples.

However, we also recognise a common frustration: while you might meet hundreds of couples, many are in the early stages of planning, often with no set date or a wedding years in the future.

The reality is that securing business isn’t always instant - wedding planning takes time, and staying front and centre in couples’ minds after the show can be a challenge.

That’s where this community comes in.

Think of it as a year-long wedding show, in a digital format.

It creates a bridging platform between shows, where you can showcase your expertise and use the platform to genuinely help those who are stuck in the planning process.

With the entry level membership for the Wedding Planning Community being free to join for couples (in addition to a tiered system for more support), we hope that those who attend our shows will join the Community. Whether they book their suppliers quickly or take their time, this space allows them to stay engaged with the best businesses.

We understand that committing to something new can feel like a big decision, especially when there are so many options out there. That’s why we’ve answered some common questions to help you feel confident that this community is the right fit for you.

Why do I have to commit for 12 months?

We are looking to build a community where people can build rapport and trust. The suppliers who join our community should be prepared to be involved for at least a year. This will cover the cost to us of putting together your profile pages, and the cost of hosting the platform. More importantly, the planning cycle of a wedding is years, not months, and instant reward is a rarity. Being involved for 12-months gives you more chance of seeing a return on your investment. We know that times are challenging at the moment, so we've kept the monthly fee low. For those who would like to pay for a full year upfront, we've given the advantage of two months for free.

I hate being in front of a video!

Don't worry, we understand! Being on video can be intimidating, but the video element of your profile allows the couples in the community to get to know you better, and we can provide a structure that keeps you on camera for as much or as little time as you like!

I'm not very good at writing for blogs.

Don't worry, we have a set list of questions that we can ask you which allows us to write a blog for you in your voice, on your behalf. You answer the questions, we'll provide the blog! If you'd like to submit further blogs, you can do so and we will use them when we can.

Do I have to attend Central Exhibitions Shows?

No, you don't. We understand that shows can be cost-prohibitive for some suppliers, and this membership is a great way to be involved in creating human connection without being one of our regular exhibitors. However, we believe that the maximum benefit will be seen when you are both an exhibitor at our shows AND part of our community.

I haven't really got time to contribute to a community.

We hear you! Running your own business means you wear lots of hats ALL of the time. You can be CEO one minute, and tea boy/girl the next minute! The interactive part of our community will be via a Facebook Group, making it easy to dip in and out of it. Pop in and see what questions you can help answer from time to time. But as the hosts of the community, it will be our job to keep you front and centre of people's minds and highlight your business when an appropriate question comes up.

What are the webinars all about?

Each month, we will invite a small group of suppliers to be featured on a webinar which will go out to couples who are in the mid-tier part of our membership offering. If you're not a featured supplier in that month, you are still encouraged to be part of the conversation in the chat. The webinars will always be themed, but as an expert in the wedding industry, you don't necessarily have to ONLY talk about your subject. The webinars are your chance to show off your personality and add value to a couple's journey. Webinars will be available for replay in the couple's membership area so they can watch at their convenience.

How will you get couples to join the community?

We already use advertising to get people along to our shows, and getting people into our community will be no different. We will be advertising in all of our usual ways on social media but will also be reaching out regularly to the 1000s of couples already on our mailing list.

What kind of support do I get as a supplier?

As a member of our community, you’re not alone! We’re here to support you in making the most out of your membership, whether that’s through creating engaging content, helping you get the most out of your profile, or assisting with any questions you have. We also run regular check-ins to ensure everything is going smoothly, and will look to run networking events in the future for members of our Community.

How can I stand out more in the community?

To make the most of your membership, we recommend engaging in the community by answering questions, offering advice, and sharing your expertise. The more active you are, the more visible you'll become! Plus, we regularly feature standout suppliers in emails, social media, and webinars.

What types of suppliers are allowed to join the community?

We’re open to a wide variety of suppliers within the wedding industry. However, we ensure that only trusted suppliers with a reputation for quality work are part of the community, so couples can rest assured they’re working with the best.

Will this community replace wedding shows?

Not at all! Wedding shows remain an incredible way to meet couples face-to-face. This Community simply acts as a year-round extension of the show experience, allowing suppliers to stay visible and engaged with couples before, during, and after the show.

How much time will being part of the Wedding Planning Community take?

As much or as little as you want! There may be a couple of hours needed at the beginning to get your profile set up, but once that’s done, your ongoing involvement in the community is entirely up to you. You can dip in and out whenever it fits your schedule!

Which locations does the community cover, and why is that beneficial for me?

Our community is focused on Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, and Northamptonshire. By concentrating on these local areas, we ensure that the couples you connect with are genuinely nearby and ready to book local suppliers. This means you’re not competing with businesses from across the country - and you’re building relationships with couples who value local expertise and personalised service. It’s all about fostering meaningful, trust-based connections right in your own community.

Is this a business coaching membership?

No, this isn’t a coaching programme or a course on how to run your business. There are plenty of those out there! This is a space designed to help you connect with engaged couples in a more meaningful way, just like a wedding show - but with the added benefit of year-round visibility. Our focus is on fostering real relationships, keeping you front of mind, and giving you opportunities to showcase your expertise in a way that feels natural and engaging.

Will I be guaranteed bookings from this membership?

While we’re confident that being part of this community will increase your visibility and opportunities, we can’t guarantee bookings. Much like exhibiting at a wedding show, success comes from making connections, building trust, and engaging with couples over time. This platform gives you the tools and space to do that - but, as with all marketing, results will depend on your involvement and how you present yourself to couples.

So Who's Behind this Community?

The Wedding Planning Community is a collaboration between Jackie Galo of Central Exhibitions and Jo Stratfull of Your Perfect Invite - two businesses with deep roots in the wedding industry.

As two businesses in the wedding industry, they’ve faced their fair share of challenges, particularly during the period when weddings came to a standstill.

Once restrictions were lifted, they were so eager for an outlet (and a bit of fresh air) that they even took up running together (briefly!) something neither had ever imagined doing.

But beyond the exercise, those runs became a way to support each other, sharing ideas, frustrations, and encouragement.

That same spirit of mutual support is at the heart of this community today - because they know first-hand how important it is to have people who truly understand the journey.

Central Exhibitions was founded over 20 years ago by Jackie’s dad, Les, who had already been running wedding shows for 10 years.

As a child, Jackie would attend wedding shows by his side, mesmerised by the magic of the event coming to life. She even took to the stage herself, modelling as a flower girl in catwalk shows in the shopping centre!

In 2015, she officially joined the business, working alongside her dad before taking over the reins and allowing him to enjoy a well-earned retirement.

Now, she runs the company with her husband, Troy, and you may have even spotted their daughter, Alissa, following in her mum's footsteps, learning the trade just as Jackie once did.

Your Perfect Invite was founded in 2009 by another husband and wife team, Jo and Mark Stratfull.

They built the business from their home office to a dedicated showroom in Kiln Farm, becoming the only specialist wedding stationery showroom in the area. Like many in the industry, the years since COVID have brought challenges, but their passion for beautifully crafted stationery and personal service remains as strong as ever.

With Jackie’s unrivaled experience in connecting suppliers with couples and Jo’s deep understanding of the wedding planning journey from both a supplier’s perspective and a couple's perspective, this joint venture is a perfect match.

Although we live in an increasingly digital world, weddings remain the ultimate symbol of human connection.

They bring together all your nearest and dearest in one room to witness the start of a new chapter. They’re never just another event - they are filled with meaning, emotion, and the shared joy of family and friends. And because weddings are so special, they require a unique set of people who truly care - suppliers who understand what a wedding means, not just as a job, but as a moment that stays with a couple forever.
