At Central Exhibitions, we’re proud to host some of the largest and best-attended wedding shows in the region, bringing couples and suppliers together in a vibrant, face-to-face setting.

Planning a wedding is exciting, but it can also feel completely overwhelming, and although wedding shows remain one of the best ways to find your suppliers, we know that sometimes, stepping through those doors and seeing so many choices can make you want to run and hide!

With so many decisions to make, suppliers to find, and budgets to manage, it’s easy to feel lost in a sea of options.

That’s where this community comes in.

We’ve created a supportive, local community where you can find guidance, inspiration, and insider knowledge to help you make confident choices.

We understand that committing to something new can feel like a big decision, especially when there are so many options out there. That’s why we’ve answered some common questions to help you feel confident that this community is the right fit for you.

Do I have to pay to be part of the community?

No, you don’t! Our entry-level membership is completely free, giving you access to our Facebook group where you’ll find advice, support, and inspiration from fellow couples and experienced wedding suppliers. If you’d like additional hands-on support, access to exclusive resources, or help with decision-making, we offer two affordable paid tiers - both costing less than a couple of coffees a month.

I'm not on Facebook. Is it still worth joining?

Absolutely! While our community group is hosted on Facebook for ease of interaction, all key resources, guides, and webinars will be stored in a separate membership area that you can access with your personal login from any device. We also send regular, helpful (never spammy!) emails to keep you updated, and if you join one of our paid tiers, all webinars and expert sessions will be available for you to watch at your convenience.

Is there any long-term commitment?

Not at all. Free means free - you can stay in the community for as long as you’re planning your wedding. Our paid tiers are also completely flexible, so you can cancel anytime. Think of us as a helpful team in your pocket, ready whenever you need us!

Do I have to comment and contribute?

No pressure! You’re welcome to be as involved as you feel comfortable. If you prefer to quietly take in the information and advice, that’s absolutely fine. However, if you ever feel like sharing your experiences, asking for recommendations, or offering support to others going through the same journey, you’ll find a welcoming space full of like-minded people.

Are all the suppliers in the community vetted by you?

We’ve been working in the wedding industry for a long time, and many of the suppliers in our community are regular exhibitors at our shows - businesses that take wedding planning seriously and invest time and resources into connecting with couples. While we haven’t personally vetted every single supplier, being part of this membership requires a year-long commitment from businesses, so you can feel reassured that they are actively engaged and invested in working with couples like you.

If I join the community, do I have to use the suppliers in it?

Not at all! There’s no obligation to book any specific supplier. The community exists to help you find businesses that resonate with you, and we hope that by getting to know suppliers through their interactions and insights, you’ll naturally gravitate towards the ones who align with your vision.

What if I need a supplier that isn’t in the community?

We’ve been in the wedding industry for a long time and have a vast network of connections. If you’re searching for something specific and don’t see a supplier for it in the community, just ask! Chances are, we know someone we can recommend. Our goal is to support you in making wedding planning as stress-free as possible, whether through our community or our wider industry links.

Is this just another wedding directory?

No! Traditional directories simply list suppliers, leaving you to do all the research and outreach. Our community is designed to be so much more - it’s a space where you can build real connections with wedding professionals, ask questions, get advice, and feel truly supported throughout your planning journey. Instead of scrolling through endless listings, you’ll be able to engage with suppliers in a meaningful way, just like at a wedding show - but available to you year-round!

Is this just another cost for my wedding budget?

Not at all! Our entry-level membership is completely free, giving you access to expert advice, planning resources, and a supportive community without adding to your wedding costs. For couples who want extra guidance, exclusive discounts, and personalised support, we do offer optional paid tiers - but there’s no obligation. Whether you're looking for free help or want to invest in making planning even easier, we’re here to support you every step of the way.

So Who's Behind this Community?

The Wedding Planning Community is a collaboration between Jackie Galo of Central Exhibitions and Jo Stratfull of Your Perfect Invite - two businesses with deep roots in the wedding industry.

As two businesses in the wedding industry, they’ve faced their fair share of challenges, particularly during the period when weddings came to a standstill.

Once restrictions were lifted, they were so eager for an outlet (and a bit of fresh air) that they even took up running together (briefly!) something neither had ever imagined doing.

But beyond the exercise, those runs became a way to support each other, sharing ideas, frustrations, and encouragement.

That same spirit of mutual support is at the heart of this community today - because they know first-hand how important it is to have people who truly understand the journey.

Although we live in an increasingly digital world, weddings remain the ultimate symbol of human connection.

They bring together all your nearest and dearest in one room to witness the start of a new chapter. They’re never just another event - they are filled with meaning, emotion, and the shared joy of family and friends. And because weddings are so special, they require a unique set of people who truly care - suppliers who understand what a wedding means, not just as a job, but as a moment that stays with a couple forever.

That’s why this community exists - not just as a space to find suppliers or plan logistics, but as a place where tradition meets modern convenience, ensuring couples and suppliers can build genuine relationships in a way that fits today’s world while staying true to what weddings are all about - human connection.
